About the Course
Self-injury is a conundrum. In many ways, it is separate and distinct from suicide and should be managed as such. Yet self-injury is also an important risk factor for suicide attempts. Many adolescents utilised NSSI to express their emotional experience and to regulate their emotions. Let us equip ourselves with the right research-based knowledge and techniques to listen to our clients as well as assist them to find helpful ways to cope without hurting themselves.

Your Trainer
Mr Chan Earng Han
Chan Earng Han holds a Master of Social Science (Counselling) from Edith Cowan University (Australia) and a Master in Counselling from Sioux Falls Seminary (United States of America).
He is a well sought-after Trainer cum Counsellor. His passion in working with youth led him to attain his Graduate Diploma in Youth Work from Edith Cowan University (Australia).
He currently specialises in counselling young people and families who have committed petty crimes, struggled with sexuality and mental health issues including having suicidal thoughts & intent.
Earng Han is also trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and he utilises Systemic lens in conceptualising problems faced by individuals and families.
