Course Specialty
Narrative approaches to social service delivery centre people as the experts in their own lives and view problems as separate from people. Narrative approaches assume that people have many skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that will assist them to reduce the influence of problems in their lives.
This course will be specifically designed to be relevant to social service workers and to assist them to be able to use narrative practices in their work contexts.
1) The Graduate Certificate in Narrative Therapy is awarded by Dulwich Centre, Australia.
2) Upon completion of the course, the graduate is recognized and certified as a Narrative Therapist by Dulwich Centre.
Entry Requirement
Applicants will need to have prior studies in Narrative Therapy before they can apply for the Graduate Certificate in Narrative Therapy.
Course Outline
Module 1: Introduction to Narrative Therapy
Module 2: Narrative Therapy with Couple Relationships
Module 3: Creative Narrative Practice with Children, Young People and their Families
Module 4: Narrative Ways of Working with Groups and Communities
Module 5: Narrative Therapy in Responding to Trauma
Student must also complete the following certification assessment requirements to be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Narrative Therapy:
