FAQ

What does AHD do?

We are an agency that specialises in offering training and consultancy for professionals from the human and social service sectors.

How established are AHD’s courses?

AHD has been conducting courses since 2000. Through our collaboration with renowned universities and institutions, we have been able to bring quality courses for students in Singapore. Many of our students work in public sector and established companies in the private sector.

How recognised are the diploma and degree that are being offered by ECU?

According to Public Service Division, the “Civil Service will consider any candidate with a degree from a foreign University that is accredited by the government of the country where the University is situated”. ECU is an Australian government-funded university and therefore its qualifications are recognised for employment by the public sector. Many private companies also recognise ECU qualifications. A number of our students are even sponsored by their employers for the courses.

Does AHD help students to look for field placement sites for their practicum?

Yes. We place students in organisations/agencies for their field placement. Students may be allowed to do field placement in agencies where they work or do voluntary work.

Who are the local lecturers?

AHD contracts experienced practitioners to conduct lectures. The lecturers are also approved by the respective awarding universities/institutions.
